When we first saw this recipe in Palm Springs, California, we didn't think we'd like the combination, but then we tried it and...WOW! It's that special. You don't need a special occasion to serve our Special Chicken Salad. It'll make every moment feel special!

    What You'll Need

    • 3/4 cup mayonnaise
    • 1 tablespoon honey
    • 1/2 teaspoon curry powder

    • 1/2 cup seedless red grapes, cut in half
    • 1/2 cup pecan halves

    What to Do

    1. In a large bowl, mix together the mayonnaise, honey, curry powder, and celery salt. Mix in the chicken, grapes, and pecans. Cover and refrigerate until ready to serve.

Except for the curry and honey this is how I always make my chicken salad! I use chopped celery not celery salt.

This is a great recipe. 1/2 or less of mayo is better and you can use garam masala spice as opposed to yellow curry for a soft and pleasant flavor too! No grapes? Soak some golden raisins in enough water to cover them overnight rinse then pat them dry before adding to this salad. It does adjust easily! We, love to have it on the table.

    This a keeper!

Had this downtown in a little Bistro and it was very good.

I make mine like this without honey and with chopped celery. I will try it with the honey.

There is a chicken salad sold here in Oregon that has all of the above minus curry with gorgonzola cheese. It is to die for.

this sounds so delicious! making it this afternoon to enjoy tomorrow on a hot summer day! will be refreshing in the winter months too i bet!

I have not made this yet but it reminds me very much , less the pecans, plus pineapple chunks, of a salad I made MANY years ago, in California, actually, called Fondaloha. It was delicious - the curry is a great surprise. As I usually had a fresh pineapple, I used the fruit from that and served it in the halved shell. Ardna Fox, Orange, Va

I like to add a diced apple (leave skin on) and some diced celery and leave out the celery salt.
