- 1/4 cup butter
- 3/4 cup packed light brown sugar
- 4 bananas, quartered
- 1/3 cup light or dark rum
- 1 pint vanilla ice cream
What to Do
- Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat; add brown sugar and cook until sugar is dissolved, stirring constantly.
- Add bananas and rum, and cook 2 to 3 minutes, or until heated through.

Not sure what I did wrong, but I just tried to make this to put over some waffles. I didn't measure anything, which may be my mistake, but the brown sugar never dissolved right. Some did, but some lumped together and got hard. I didn't stir it CONSTANTLY, but very frequently. I used only about 4 Tab. of butter and maybe 1/4 cup of brown sugar. I also sprinkled in a little cinnamon. Was not sirring my mistake? It remains mainly separated.
