What You'll Need
- 1/4 cup plus 2 tablespoons olive oil, divided
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 10 (1-inch-thick) slices Italian bread, cut into 1-inch cubes
- 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 cup cubed salami
- 1 cup cubed provolone cheese
- 6 plum tomatoes, chopped
- 1/2 cup chopped red onions
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh basil or 1 teaspoon dried basil
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh oregano or 1 teaspoon dried oregano
What to Do
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
- In a large bowl, combine 1/4 cup olive oil and garlic powder. Add bread cubes and toss until evenly coated. Place on baking sheet.
- Bake 15 to 20 minutes, or until crispy and golden brown.
- In a small bowl, whisk together remaining olive oil, balsamic vinegar, salt, and pepper until well blended.
- In a large bowl, combine bread cubes and remaining ingredients. Add dressing; toss gently. Let stand 20 minutes before serving.
