We've added a bit of "crunch" to this classic tuna salad recipe, which, in our opinion, makes this Crunchy Tuna Salad one of the best ones out there! We've even mixed in a few of our other favorite veggies which really adds another layer to this tasty dish. Serve it up for a light lunch, and you'll love how full you feel just from eating a salad! Plus, it uses good-for-you fish too, so you can work all of those healthy vitamins into your diet.
What You'll Need
- 1 (12-ounce) can white tuna in water, drained
- 1 cup frozen petite green peas, thawed
- 3/4 cup chopped celery
- 3/4 cup mayonnaise
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon curry powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 1 (10-ounce) package mixed salad greens
- 3/4 cup chow mein noodles
What to Do
- Combine first 8 ingredients in a large bowl. Cover and chill at least 1 hour.
- Serve over greens, and sprinkle with chow mein noodles.
Notes
This is a great salad to serve with Melba toast or plain or garlic-flavored bagel chips. It's also good served between 2 slices of multigrain bread. It's a winner any way you choose!
