Angel Hair Pasta with Clams

What You'll Need
- 8 ounces angel hair pasta, uncooked
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 1/2 teaspoon minced garlic
- 3 (6-1/2-ounce) cans minced clams
- 1/3 cup shredded Parmesan cheese
- Freshly ground pepper
What to Do
- Cook pasta according to package directions. Drain and set aside in a serving bowl; cover to keep warm.
- Meanwhile, heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add garlic; saute 2 minutes. Drain clams, reserving liquid. Add clam liquid to skillet, and simmer 5 minutes. Add clams; simmer 5 additional minutes.
- Add clam mixture to pasta; toss gently. Sprinkle with cheese and pepper. Serve immediately.

I add about a 1/3 cup of slice thin green onions right before I serve this dish and it does need grated cheese Great dish I also make this dish with mussels instead of clams

This recipe sounds good I was turned off when I read to sprinkle cheese on pasta at end. In my household we were taught not to put cheese on fish sauces. In Italy they shun when a patron asks for chees. Therefore I would never put cheese on my fish sauces. Only meat sauce gets the cheese.

If you aren't comfortable putting cheese on this dish, it's fine to leave it off. This recipe is very good with or without cheese.
