Easy Cheesy Italian Noodles

There are so many reasons you're gonna love our light, yet hearty Easy Cheesy Italian Noodles. From the lively flavor combo of the herbs and spices, to the full-flavored Parmesan cheese, this one can't be beat.
What You'll Need
- 1 pound egg noodles
- 1/2 cup (1 stick) butter
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 1 cup finely chopped fresh basil
- 4 garlic cloves, finely chopped
- 3/4 cup grated Romano or Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper
What to Do

In a large pot of boiling water, cook pasta just until tender. Drain and place in a large bowl; set aside and keep warm.

In a large skillet, heat butter and olive oil; add basil and garlic, and saute 1 to 2 minutes.

Add basil and garlic mixture and remaining ingredients to pasta; mix well and serve immediately.

This strikes me as a really nice side dish, but it's missing a couple of elements to make it into a complete meal. I like the idea below of serving it with some chicken breasts. Sliced ham would also be a good option, as would some nice juicy hamburger steaks. I'd definitely recommend looking at the broccoli recipe referred to in the notes. That would make a nice complement to the dinner.

Didn't have the flavor I thought it would. If I make this again, I'd be sure to add more/different spices to it to give it a little more "spiciness".

yummy is right....this is a great weeknight recipe, and as it was suggested, grilled chicken breasts, or any chicken pieces will go just great with this recipe.....I believe you have a winner here, and IT'S OOH SO GOOD!

Sounds good!! Think I will add some grilled chicken breast. Sounds yumm with these fresh herbs.
