Tomato-Basil Turkey Sauce
- COOK TIME
- 10 Min
Perk up plain sliced turkey with this sauce for a nice change
What You'll Need
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/4 teaspoon dried basil
- 1 small tomato, finely chopped
- 1 scallion, finely chopped
What to Do
- In a medium-sized saucepan, combine the mayonnaise, milk, and basil. Cook over medium heat, stirring, until the mixture thickens and begins to boil. Stir in the tomato and scallion.
- Serve hot or cold.
- Makes 1-2/3 cups.
Notes
This is great served over sliced, cooked turkey. Try fresh basil instead of the dried, or for a different taste treat, try fresh dill. Light mayonnaise will also work well.
