Balsamic Vinaigrette
All vinegar is not created equal. Uh uh! Balsamic vinegar is an ideal addition to almost any salad dressing but it takes center stage in this Balsamic Vinaigrette.
What You'll Need
- 1/2 cup balsamic vinegar
- 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 cup olive oil
What to Do
- In a medium bowl, whisk together vinegar and mustard. Add salt and pepper. Pour in olive oil very slowly, whisking constantly until well combined and creamy.
Makes about 1-1/2 cups dressing.
Note
In addition to serving this over your favorite mixed greens, try it over asparagus that you've steamed then chilled. Yummy!

this is one of the simplest and most delicious vinaigrette recipes around. I add one teaspoon of light brown sugar. It is even more delicious after a few hours in the refrigerator so it thickens up a bit.

I will never by store bought Balsamic Vinaigrette again! It's better than anything I've tried at my local supermarkets.
