It's not always easy to make sure we serve enough veggies with our meals, but this new garden-fresh twist on an old favorite is a guaranteed "good-for-you!" Chunky Garden Sloppy Joes are perfect after a summer baseball game or an autumn stroll. They're great all year-round, so whip some up today!
What You'll Need
- 1 1/2 pound ground turkey
- 1 large zucchini, chopped
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 large tomato, chopped
- 1 (26 ounce) jar spaghetti sauce
- 6 hamburger buns, split
What to Do
- In a large skillet, saute ground turkey, zucchini, and onion over medium-high heat 10 to 12 minutes, or until no pink remains in beef and zucchini is tender.
- Reduce heat to medium-low and stir in tomato and spaghetti sauce.
- Cook 4 to 5 minutes or until heated through. Spoon over buns and serve immediately.
