Canned tomato soup gets a flavor boost from buttermilk and fresh basil in this tasty little teaser. We've served it warm, and we've served it cold - either way it'll be a hit!
What You'll Need
- 2 (10-3/4-ounce) cans tomato soup, undiluted
- 1 (14-1/2-ounce) can diced tomatoes
- 2 1/2 cups buttermilk
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh basil
- 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground pepper
What to Do
- Cook all ingredients in a 3-quart saucepan over medium heat 6 to 8 minutes or until mixture is thoroughly heated, stirring often. Serve immediately, or serve chilled.

I love it except I want a little more seasoning so I am trying dash which is salt free.
