My family doesn't like water chestnuts. Can I use something else? Would slivered almonds get soggy?

Hi there! Yes, you can substitute the water chestnuts in this recipe. Slivered almonds should work well as a substitution. If you do make the recipe this way, let us know how it turns out. We would love to hear your feedback! Enjoy!
