I'm sorry but i don't understand why some people have to be so rude. If they don't like this website they should try another. Most of us are here to get GOOD recipes and to help each other with what we might not understand.

some people just don't have a life,so they "nit-pick" everything that is good. God bless them and good luck! I for one have enjoyed the majority of Mr. Food's recipes.

You can use any kind of jam you like.. strawberry peach blackberry apricot. even pineapple just beat it well with fork if too thick add a teaspoon or 2 or milk or water What the original recipe is referring to is ice cream topping where the caramel topping . pineapple topping( now there's a thought ) and Hershey's syrup is stored (Hershey syrup brownies are SOOO good ) This recipe is very versatile Another great recipe from this site ..Love this website!

Was wondering if some "preserves" could be used instead of ice cream topping? Like maybe peach or apricot?

Strawberry desert topping is topping for ice cream. Duh

Ice cream topping. But I use strawberry jam.

I couldn't figure out the strawberry flavored dessert topping either, at first. I'm assuming you prefer the jam better; it sounds better!

I thought that was what it looked liked when I saw the video butwasn't sure. I have some freezer jam that I am going to use.

Thanks! I think i'm going to give peach preserves a try and see what happens. Wish me luck, will let everyone know!

I agree with mc2004gee, what in the world is "strawberry flavored dessert topping? Is it by chance the little pint of jell looking stuff where they sell the strawberries? I sure hope you answer because I'm always making and looking for new dessert breads. My husband has them for breakfast before he leaves for work. Thanks ahead of time

Strawberry-flavored dessert topping can also be called ice cream topping. You typically find it in the ice cream section of your grocery store near the jars of hot fudge, caramel, sprinkles and ice cream cones. Thank you!

I guess my brain isn't working too well today but what do you mean by strawberry flavored dessert topping?
