When we make these we use corn flake crumbs.

Good but a bit too minty! I will make them again but use regular chocolate chips instead.

"magic" bars of all kinds are one of my favorite desserts at Christmas. Definitely trying this recipe this year!

MMMMMM it's soooooo good!!! sooooo easy to make.

Looking forward to making this and rating it.

Will have to try for a family gingerbread decorating party for eating while icing!

Will be adding this recipe to my desserts to make for the holidays. Looks delicious and oh so easy. Thanks Howard.

Not too sure about the addition of coconut (which I happen to like), to me it's a bit of overkill. Still, it looks like a show-stopper cookie.

We were going to do a cookie exchange at our parents of special needs support group party, but there were too many diet restrictions. We are doing an ornament exchange instead. I do plan on taking goodies to all of our neighbors. Probably my special carmel corn and sock snowmen. Maybe some other treats as well.

Thanks for sharing, but what does this have to do with the recipe?

My thoughts exactly!!

Sounds good, except can't have coconut. Any suggested substitution?

I found this Coconut flakes Coconut flakes are mostly used to add that special touch of chewy sweetness to cookies, macaroons, or other treats. Sometimes theyre also sprinkled on top of a dish to add a crunch. Substitutions will vary depending on how youre using them, but try As a sweet, chewy ingredient raisins, dried cranberries, or other dried fruit. For crunch on top of a salad sunflower seeds, flax seeds, crumbled nut topping or dehydrated blueberries (or other berries). As a crust ingredient see one of the non-coconut flours listed above." Hi there! We recommend substituting coconut with either crushed pretzels or a crushed cereal of your choosing. That way you still get the substance and crunch that makes these so delicious! Enjoy!

These look like they would be yummy!

I love, love, love the 13x9 baking dish Mr. Food used with these bar cookies. Does anyone know who makes it?

Hi there! Unfortunately we cannot find any information regarding the baking dish, as it is not in our database. Thank you!

I saw these and decided to give them a test run before the holiday season, and I'm really glad I did. All I can say is.... THEY MAKE ME SO HAPPY! They're minty fresh and have the perfect amount of coconut for my liking. These definitely shouldn't be reserved for Christmas time.
