Meat Loaf on the Grill

Meat loaf on the grill?? Yep! Most of us have grown up on moist, flavorful meat loaf made in Mom's oven, but we can still get the same taste (maybe even better!) on our grills.
What You'll Need
- 2 pounds ground beef (see Note)
- 1 1/2 cup fresh bread crumbs
- 2 eggs
- 3/4 cup water
- 1/3 cup ketchup
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
What to Do
- Preheat the grill to medium-high heat. Coat a hinged grill basket with cooking spray.
- In a large bowl, combine all ingredients; mix well. Shape into 2 loaves, each about 1 inch thick.
- Place in prepared grill basket. Place on grill and cook 20 to 30 minutes, until loaves are firm and no pink remains. (Cooking time will depend on the thickness of the loaves and the heat of your grill.)
Note
Very lean ground turkey or chicken works great for your grilled meat loaf, too, but be sure to increase your seasonings to almost double when using ground turkey or chicken.

fefehill 60 Ihave found the baskets at Wal Mart, hardware stores, most any store that sells grilling supplies. I also use my own meatloaf recipe and make them into patties and put on grill just like you would hamburgers. Good that way for summer!!
