I fixed this tonight for supper,,delicious...husband also liked it..I had to cut the recipe down some since there is only the 2 of us,,,but it still turned out great!

This is a variation of a recipe that used to be on the back of Lipton Onion Soup mix. On a large piece of aluminum foil, place a 1/2 to 3/4" thick round steak sufficient for 3 people. Sprinkle the onion soup mix over the top of the steak. Top with Campbell's Cream of Mushroom soup, spread evenly. Tightly wrap in the foil and bake at 350 degrees F for 1 1/2 hrs. (I usually add extra sliced onions and cut up potatoes). This fell out of favor due to the high amount of sodium in the soup. Now you can get the "heart healthy" variety that has less sodium. "

need an alternative gravy. this was absolutely NASTY with mushroom gravy!! I don't know how people can stomach fungi... same thing that gets in between your toes... do you eat that?

Hi there! You can replace the cream of mushroom soup with cream of celery or a creamy onion soup, or use one of your favorite bottled gravies. Let us know how this turns out for you, we would love to hear your feedback. Enjoy!

Do you eat bread, cake, drink beer and other such things? They are made with yeast.. Yeast is a fungus..

This is basically a simple meatloaf, shaped into a pie!

My mom made something very similar to this dish when I was growing up. I didn't have the recipe, but this sounds just about the same. It was delicious, so thanks for posting it. It's easy tasty.
