Ingredients
- 1 (18.25-ounce) package chocolate cake mix, prepared according to package directions
- 1 (10-ounce) jar red maraschino cherries, well drained and chopped, with 1/4 cup juice reserved
- 1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup confectioners' sugar
- 1 (16-ounce) container frozen whipped topping, thawed
- 1 (6-ounce) jar green maraschino cherries, well drained and chopped
- 1 cup chopped pecans, with 2 tablespoons reserved for garnish
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Hi sassykid We are working with our tech team to restore the instructions In the meantime I've included them below Enjoy Preheat oven to degrees F Coat -inch round baking pans with cooking spray Stir reserved cherry juice into chocolate cake batter Pour into prepared cake pans Bake to minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean Let cool minutes then remove to wire rack to cool completely When cool slice cakes horizontally in half making layers In a large bowl beat cream cheese and sugar until smooth Stir in whipped topping red and green cherries and pecans Place cake layer on platter and evenly spread one-quarter of cream cheese mixture on top Repeat with remaining cake layers and finish with cream cheese mixture on top Sprinkle with reserved pecans In a small microwaveable bowl melt chocolate chips in microwave minute stirring until smooth add seconds if necessary Drizzle…Read More melted chocolate on cake and refrigerate until ready to serve

For the last 30 years Christmas is also a Birthday party for my brother-in-law. I always try to make a special Birthday cake for him and this year this will be the one! I love how festive this Jingle Bell Torte looks. He likes Red Velvet cake, so I wounder how good it will be? I'll have to see and get back to you! This certainly looks like a cake I am willing to come off of my diet to try, and that's saying a lot because I have already lost 62 pounds since april of this year and only have 18 more to go.

I MADE THIS TORTE FOR CHRISTMAS MY FAMILY WENT NUTS. I CCOILD NOT FIND GREEN CHERRIES LIKE SOME OTHERS SO I COLORED MY FROSTING GREEN WHICH GAVE IT SOME OF THE EFFECT. AGAIN THANK YOU FOR THE RECIPE AND I LOVE YOUR SEGMENT

This is such a beautiful and easy to make cake for the Holidays. I just had one problem. My melted chocolate wouldn't drizzle. I put it on in clumps. I think the next time I'll just buy some hot fudge sauce and put it on just before serving.
