Relive those precious days of your childhood with this classic small-town shoppe favorite. Rocky road, anyone?
What You'll Need
- 1/4 cup whipping cream
- 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
- 4 (1-inch-thick) slices pound cake, toasted
- 1 cup miniature marshmallows
- 1/2 cup chopped pecans
- 2 cups vanilla ice cream
What to Do
-
Preheat broiler. Heat whipping cream in a saucepan over medium heat 1 minute or until warm. Add chocolate chips; cook, stirring constantly, 1 minute until chocolate melts. Remove from heat.
-
Pour 2 tablespoons chocolate sauce over each slice of pound cake. Top evenly with marshmallows and pecans. Broil 1 to 2 minutes or until marshmallows are toasted (see Note). Top each pound cake slice with ice cream, and spoon remaining chocolate sauce over ice cream.
Notes
The toasted marshmallows taste like you just heated them over a campfire. Watch them carefully, though, when broiling 'cause they'll burn quickly.
