Creamy Chicken Kale Casserole

Didn't think a casserole could be fancy enough to serve to company? Think again! Our Creamy Chicken Kale Casserole is full of flavorful ingredients that give it a restaurant-quality taste!
What You'll Need
- 1 can (10-3/4-ounce) can cream of chicken soup
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1/3 cup milk
- 1/4 cup white wine
- 2 teaspoons Dijon mustard
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 4 cups chopped kale, steamed
- 2 1/2 cups shredded cooked chicken
- 1 cup shredded Swiss cheese
- 1/2 cup French fried onions
What to Do
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Coat an 8- x 8-inch baking dish with cooking spray.
- In a large bowl, combine soup, mayonnaise, milk, white wine, mustard, garlic powder, salt and pepper; mix well.
- Spoon 1/3 of cream sauce in the bottom of the baking dish. Layer evenly with half of kale, half the chicken and half of the cheese. Repeat layers with 1/3 of cream sauce, remaining kale, chicken, cream sauce and cheese.
- Top with French fried onions and bake uncovered 35 to 40 minutes or until hot.

I like sweetsassy's suggestions. This creamy chicken casserole is hardy enough to have pasta in it too. But it's quite enough kale for me! I'm a beginner! Lol I don't care for the canned fried French onions either, so I'll sprinkle a little seasoned Panko bread crumbs on the top to give it a light crunch.

I thought this was delicious, really creamy. Next time though, I believe I will add pasta. In my opinion it could use it because it's pretty rich dish. Definitely worth trying. Also, I will probably add more kale next time and maybe mozzarella instead of swiss, but that's just me. Oh, I didn't have any French fried onions so I used crushed oyster crackers instead. I would like to thank you for all the recipes through the years! It's been oh it's sooo good!
