Chicken Livers in Sour Cream

Don't be thrown off by the name of this recipe because these Chicken Livers in Sour Cream are delish! They're full of old world flavor with a taste that everyone will love!
What You'll Need
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 1/2 cup sliced fresh mushrooms
- 1 large onion, sliced or chopped
- 1 pound chicken livers
- 1 (8-ounce) container sour cream
- 1/3 cup dry sherry
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon pepper
What to Do
- Melt butter in a large skillet over low heat. Add mushrooms and onion; cook over medium-high heat, stirring constantly, until vegetables are tender. Add livers, and cook 1 minute. Cover, reduce heat to low, and cook 15 minutes.
- Stir in sour cream and remaining 3 ingredients, and cook until thoroughly heated. Serve immediately over warm cooked rice or in puff pastry shells.
Notes
These chicken livers are so full of old-time flavor. I like to serve 'em over rice. But if you wanna get fancy, spoon 'em into puff pastry shells.

Ialso have this recipe, but I start by fring 4-5 slices of bacon,crisp,crunble. Just drain the skillet leaving 2 Tbl. gresse to fry livers, lower heat, add vegies & sour cream I also use a green bell pepper,diced.
