Love this stuff! I really enjoyed the one review that suggested adding broccoli to the sauce. Genius! I frequently use chicken breasts, and they are never dry. Yes, it is important that you like curry. Score Mr. Food!

unless you are a really big fan of curry don't waste your time on this recipe even if it is only 5 minutes. It isn't that good.

Is this my favorite chicken recipe, no. Is it in my top five, you bet! Quick easy to prepare with plenty of yummy sauce that is delicious on rice or fine egg noodles. Also, if you have leftovers, strip the meat off the bones and heat with some of the sauce. While that heats, cook a portion of a favorite vegetable (I like cut asparagus or chopped broccoli). When the saucey chicken is hot gently stir in your veg. Serve this over a hot starch - rice, fine egg noodles, ramen noodles or toat points. Sprinkle with a bit of Parmesan or Swiss heat to melt the cheese. Also, I like to make this with a cut up fryer, but it is also very good prepared with chicken thighs.

Salt to taste appears in this - and so many - recipes. What do you recommend for those of us out here who are on no-salt-added diets? Can't wait to make this, by the way, and will omit the salt if I have to.

Your ad is misleading..............5 minutes? When in actuality it takes 1 1/2 hours.

We're sorry for any confusion! By "5 minutes" we are referring to the amount of time needed to prepare the dish, not the cooking time.

Hi there! You can substitute cream of chicken soup for the cheddar cheese soup without adding any milk. You can also add 1 cup of shredded Cheddar cheese to the mixture. Enjoy!

I've heard that you can use the same amount of Chicken Broth, as you'd use of white wine. I tried doing so in a few recipes, and it worked out very well.

Has anyone tried this using a soup other than Cheddar Cheese (perhaps Golden Mushroom)? My hubby is not a fan of the Cheddar Cheese soup recipes that I have tried.

Any seasoned cook will know Mr. Food is referring to the preparation time not the actual cooking time. Chicken does not cook in only five minutes. and the directions are simple and will only take minutes to put together and pop in the oven. I love it.

This is the wrong title for this chicken recipe it should just state Chicken prepared in seconds because this title make you think it's cooked in 5 minutes, but it is deliouse and very east to prepare.

He "Mr. Food" How can you call this "5 Minute Chicken" when it takes longer than 5 minutes to even prepare it? I totally agree with Spieygrrl on Oct 29, 1012.....come on you can do better than that.....

Are you not smart enough to figure out that it's not that it takes 5 minutes to cook, but five minutes to put the ingredients together??? Pa....lease!!!!

This recipe desperately needs a name change. On the one hand, it's purportedly "Five Minute Chicken." On the other hand, one of the very first instructions is : "Cooking Time: 1 hr 15 min." Furthermore, it takes longer than five minutes even to measure out the ingredients! ZERO truth in advertising on this page, folks; move along, nothing to see.

This recipe was listed under dinner for two. A whole chicken is a little much for two people.

The photo wouldn't be much use - it just looks like lumps under an orange blanket. But I would give it 5 stars. I've been making it since I saw it on the Mr. Food TV show back in 1990. The family loves it and so does company. I serve over a platter of noodles. Mmmm good.

Noticed that my review said 5 stars, but only 3 stars showed at the top. It is definitely 5 stars!
