This ice cream is by far the best I've ever tasted! It is so creamy and a mouthful of flavor in every bite. Not to mention how easy it is to make. The hardest part is waiting for it to freeze, lol. I ended up doubling the recipe as well!

I haven't made this yet, but I am definitely going to. I want to know if you can do this with chocolate. That is just about the only kind of ice cream my son likes.

Can I substitute fresh strawberries

Hi there! You can use fresh strawberries but, frozen are already soft from being frozen, so they will be juicy and add more flavor and sweetness to the ice cream. The Test Kitchen recommends if using fresh to chop strawberries and sprinkle with a little sugar and let sit for 15 minutes. This will break down the strawberries. Enjoy!

My daughter LOVED this ice cream, she asks for it all of the time now. This one is a keeper, especially since I don't need an ice cream maker!

Normally my homemade ice cream is kind of thin, but this is the thickest and creamiest homemade ice cream I've ever made. I followed the recipe exactly and can't wait to change it up. This will be my new base recipe!
