Drizzling a little glaze over your favorite cakes, cookies, and other desserts is a simple way to fancy 'em up! We especially love to use glaze over our Bundt cakes and pound cakes. The best part? You only need three ingredients to make a basic glaze! What a great option for those times when you're in a rush and you want to impress company with a decorated dessert!
Check out our video and tips on making glaze for all of your favorite sweet treats. Once you see how easy it is, you'll want to pour glaze on everything!
How to Make GlazeSimple White Glaze: In a bowl, mix together 1 cup of powdered sugar (confectioner's sugar), 1-1/2 teaspoons of milk (or half-and-half), and a touch of vanilla. Clear Glaze: Instead of milk, use water! Flavored Glaze: Add a pop of flavor by substituting lemon juice or orange juice in place of the milk. Test Kitchen Tip: It's always better to put a little less liquid to start, and add more if needed. You can always add more, but you can't take out! Once you've got your glaze ready, just pour it into a plastic baggie, seal it tight, and trim one of the corners. Now, you can easily pipe your glaze onto anything!
