Almond Cherry Cobbler

This cobbler goes together in a snap- let it cook while you enjoy dinner, and it'll be ready just in time for dessert. Crown each serving with a scoop of ice cream. M-m-m!
What You'll Need
- 1/4 cup butter
- 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/4 teaspoon almond extract
- 1 (16-ounce) can pitted tart red cherries, undrained (not pie filling)
What to Do

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Place butter in an 8-inch square baking dish. Place dish in oven for 5 minutes or until butter melts.

Combine flour and next 3 ingredients in a medium bowl; add milk and almond extract, stirring until smooth. Pour batter over melted butter. (Do not stir.) Pour cherries over batter.

Bake 40 minutes or until lightly browned. Serve warm.
