Easy Ganache

Don't be put off by this fancy bakery term, ganache is such a cinch to make you won't believe it! And drizzling some of that smooth rich, creamy chocolate concoction over any of your favorite desserts will have everyone impressed!
What You'll Need
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 cup heavy cream
What to Do
- Place chocolate chips in a medium bowl.
- In a small saucepan over medium heat, bring heavy cream to a boil, stirring constantly. Pour over chocolate chips and stir until mixture is smooth. Let cool 15 to 20 minutes, or until ganache begins to thicken slightly.
- Use immediately to coat a cake.
Notes
If you choose to use this as a filling instead of a as topping for your cake, just refrigerate it until it has thickened to the desired consistency.

This will not dissapoint! I took it to a dessert banquet and with alot of other desserts there, I came home with an empty plate. Tne hardest part I found was cutting the pound cake even.

Hi jmac, if you take dental floss and wrap it around the cake and make sure that it is even all the way around then criss-cross the floss and pull it like you are tying your shoes it will cut evenly every time. I have used this method to do layer cakes for years and it works perfectly every time.
