The secret to this Secret Ingredient Sweet Potato Bake is the crushed graham cracker topping that is sprinkled on top. To take this to the next level, we also added in a little bit of maple syrup to bring out the sweetness. Your gang with love this side dish recipe!
What You'll Need
- 2 (40-ounce) cans sweet potatoes, drained and mashed
- 3/4 cup maple syrup
- 5 tablespoons butter, melted, divided
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup coarsely crushed cinnamon graham crackers
What to Do
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Coat a 3-quart casserole dish with cooking spray.
- In a large bowl, combine all ingredients except graham crackers and 1 tablespoon butter; mix well. Spoon into prepared casserole dish.
- In a small bowl, combine graham crackers and remaining melted butter. Sprinkle evenly over potato mixture.
- Bake 35 to 40 minutes, or until firm and golden.
