Sounds good but I would add garlic powder to the cream cheese mix with the dried minced onion. The garlic will stay that size and that's a lotta garlic to have in a bite. Adding garlic powder allows you to be more subtle with the garlic. If you want to add minced garlic that is in your refrigerator door, but I wouldn't do that. I too, am not putting walnuts on it. I can't stand walnuts and quite often I will skip over recipes with walnuts as one of the ingredients but I love chipped beef roll ups. I gave it one star because of the walnuts. You want color and something to enhance the flavor? Try topping with freshly cut (with scissors) chives.

This is so easy, and good. It keeps well also. I didn't do the nuts, although that would look more colorful. going to add a splash of horseradish next time, because I am addicted to the stuff!! Thanks for the post.
