Swiss cheese, walnuts, and pears? Does it get much better than that? Every winter, we love stocking up on pears 'cause they just taste so yummy when they're in season. When we combine it with cheese and nuts though, it's a whole new ballgame. For the ultimate winter snack recipe, check out this easy peasy recipe.
What You'll Need
- 1/3 cup finely chopped walnuts
- 1 pear (see note)
- 3 (3/4-ounce) wedges Swiss spreadable cheese
What to Do
- Heat walnuts in a small nonstick skillet over medium-low heat 2 to 3 minutes or until toasted, stirring often.
- Cut pear into about 20 equal slices. Stir together cheese wedges. Spread bottom half of 1 side of each pear slice evenly with cheese. Sprinkle with walnuts.
Notes
Impress 'em with this 3-ingredient winner. The flavors and textures of the ingredients pair perfectly. I like to use a Bosc or Bartlett pear for this tasty snack.
