BLT Egg Salad Sandwich

That's right! We've combined two classic sandwiches into one deliciously amazing lunchtime favorite. Our BLT Egg Salad Sandwich is sure to be you're new go-to mid-day meal!

What You'll Need

6 hard-boiled eggs, peeled
2 tablespoons mayonnaise
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon black pepper
3 strips cooked bacon, chopped
1/2 tomato, chopped
3 romaine lettuce leaves
6 slices hearty white bread

What to Do

In a large bowl, coarsely chop eggs. Stir in mayonnaise, salt, pepper, bacon, and tomato; mix well.
Spread mixture evenly over 3 slices of bread, then top with lettuce and remaining bread. Serve immediately.

It is an absolute SHAME when you have to TELL people to peel boiled eggs and COOK bacon BEFORE they eat them.

This site is making it very hard to make a comment. If I have to go back to cirrect a typo, it deletes this post. Please remedy this. I am glad that this site explains a recipe fully. There are many beginning cooks out there that have no idea what the basics are. We all had to start somewhere. Don't put them down because they don't know. Help them.

Sounds wonderful! I have not tried bacon, tomato and lettuce, but I'm doing it now. However, I use a couple slices of onion, finely chopped and a half wedge of green pepper, diced finely, and a tblsp yellow mustard. Carson Schardt

Love both egg salad and blt's! I would add more bacon to the recipe - at least 6 strips total. I always trim the raw slices along the edges and the bottoms to remove a lot of the fat. The idea of avocado slices is great. YUM.

I just printed off the Avocado Egg Salad recipe. I'll bet avocado on the BLT egg salad would really be good. Will try it.
