Our No Sacrifice Cheese Ball is the perfect choice for entertaining, especially for anyone watching their waistline. This lighter version of a tried and true classic cheese ball is sure to be a tasty hit.
What You'll Need
- 1/4 cup finely chopped fresh parsley
- 1 package (8 ounces) light pasteurized processed cheese spread, softened
- 4 ounces light cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
- 1/8 teaspoon ground red pepper
What to Do
- In a medium bowl, beat all the ingredients except the parsley until well blended.
- Place the parsley in a shallow dish and spoon the cheese mixture onto the parsley, rolling to form into a ball or other shape (see Note), coating completely with the parsley.
- Serve, or wrap well and chill until ready to serve.
Notes
It's fun to have themed parties, and this dish gives us a way to carry over our rock 'n' roll or any other theme onto the hors d'oeuvre table. Just form it into the shape of a musical note or any other simple shape that fits with your party.
