Has anyone made this with ground turkey instead of beef?

Hi! This can definitely can be made with ground turkey instead of beef. We would also add 1 egg and a 1/2 tsp of garlic powder, and 1 Tbl of worcestershire sauce to this recipe. This will help add flavor and keep burger together. Ground turkey is drier and has less flavor then ground beef. Hope this helps!

This had a good flavor but the sauce was to watery even after adding additional corn starch. I think next time I will try using a brown gravy.

Hello! Yes, you can use ground turkey in place of the ground beef; however, you may need to add a bit more seasoning to add flavor, as well as a little more bread crumbs. Enjoy!

We tried this last night and it was great! We don't like mushrooms so we left them off. This would be good to make ahead for another day.

This is an EXCELLENT basic recipe for Salisbury Steak, and it was sooo easy to prepare! I added a bit of finely chopped bell pepper and a clove of minced garlic to the meat mixture. I served it over cooked & buttered egg noodles. I sprinkled some fresh chopped parsley over it when I plated it up. My family loved it, and I'll definately make this dish again. I LOVE those old recipies which our moms made when we were growing up, and many of us got away from making them over the years. Your Sweedish Meatballs were also a huge hit with my family. Thanks for the memories!

Made this with what I had on hand. Used brown gravy mix, prepared as directed, instead of the beef bullion and cornstarch. Used canned mushrooms. Was still good!

So easy to make and tastes great. I have made this several times but omitted the mushrooms because my family doesn't like them. Will definitely make this many more times.

Easy to make and tastes good, even using canned mushrooms and beef bouillon granules, which is what I had on hand. The Worchestershire sauce adds depth to the flavor.

Made this for dinner tonight. Followed recipe but did have to add a little more cornstarch/water to get a gravy. Served with noodles and California blend veggies. Hubby said it was great and that he doesn't normally like Salisbury steak. Had great flavor. Will be making this again. Thanks!

Made this last evening. Its delicious and easy to make. Don't take a lot of ingredients either. I will make this again. I was thinking it would work to make meat balls the same way too.l

My Mom used to make this for us and it's one of my all time favorite "Comfort Foods". Made this recipe tonight for dinner. My Husband loved it, but I thought it was a bit bland. Next time I'll probably add a bit of fresh grated horseradish as "suzzik" suggested. Very easy to prepare though. Will definitely make it again. Thanks for such a great site.

Absolutely delicious and easy to make. Best Salisbury steak recipe I have tried. You can also add a little horseradish to the meat to give it a little extra zing!!
