Melt-in-your-mouth good, this Parmesan Cheese Bread has a flavorful garlicky, cheesy taste that will become a year-round favorite in your house.
What You'll Need
- 1 (16-ounce) loaf French bread
- 2 cloves garlic, halved (see note)
- 6 tablespoons butter, softened
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
What to Do
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Split bread loaf horizontally. Rub cut sides of loaf with garlic, and place bread on a baking sheet. Spread evenly with butter, and sprinkle with cheese.
- Bake 10 minutes or until toasted; cut into 2-inch slices.
Notes
Simply rubbing French bread with cut garlic imparts robust flavor without leaving chunks of garlic to bite into. Try this method with any kind of bread. The oil from the garlic transforms everyday bread into first-class fare!
