Mocha Frosting
- MAKES

- COOK TIME
- 10 Min
Adding a little bit of coffee to chocolate gives it an extra-rich taste that makes it hard to forget, which is just what we did with our Mocha Frosting recipe. Now you have another way to get your coffee fix in!
What You'll Need
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1 teaspoon instant coffee granules
- 1 cup (6 ounces) semisweet chocolate chips
- 1 1/2 cup confectioner's sugar
What to Do
- In a small heavy saucepan over medium heat, combine heavy cream and coffee; stir until coffee dissolves. Add chocolate chips and stir until melted and smooth.
- Remove from heat and whisk in confectioners' sugar until smooth.
Notes
This makes enough to frost the top of a 9- x 13-inch cake or pan of brownies.

It isn't exactly the picture of health, but if used in moderation this frosting recipe should definitely be enjoyed! It would be great sparingly on top of a chocolate chip bran muffin, a special adult birthday cake, or just to serve on the side. I would gladly break in to my son's graham cracker stash so I could scoop some up! I love the combination of coffee and chocolate. To cut down on the fat I might try the substitute instead of the heavy cream. (I never seem to have it on hand! )

I don't know about canned milk but another resolution: Ingredients: 3/4 cup milk 1/3 cup butter Preparation: Melt the butter. Pour it into the milk, and stir. Use in place of one cup of heavy cream Will not whip like cream
