If you’re wondering how something so easy sounding can be so good, you’ll have to make it for yourself. The combo of the cinnamon-kissed corn flakes, once they’re toasted with butter, is amazing. When you roll a big scoop of vanilla ice cream in that, it’s to die for. So say goodbye to hot fudge and hello to a new twist that will have you saying "OOH IT’S SO GOOD!!"
What You'll Need
- 1 quart vanilla ice cream
- 3 cups frosted corn flakes cereal, coarsely crushed
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 2 tablespoons butter, melted
What to Do
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Using an ice cream scoop or large spoon, form six ice cream balls, each about 2-1/2-inches in diameter. Place in a freezer-safe container, then place in freezer.
- Meanwhile, coat a rimmed baking sheet with cooking spray. In a medium bowl, combine cereal, cinnamon, and butter; mix well and spread on baking sheet.
- Bake 5 to 7 minutes, or until lightly browned and crisp. Remove to a shallow dish and allow to cool completely.
- Remove ice cream balls from freezer and roll in cereal mixture, coating on all sides and gently pressing cereal onto ice cream. Place back into container and freeze 1 hour or until ready to serve. Drizzle with caramel sauce and serve.
