I love cod because it's such a mild-flavored fish. That means it's perfect for teaming with your favorite seasonings. Try this winning combination of flavors then and if you like experimenting, change the spices to your own favorites.
What You'll Need
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 1/2 teaspoon dried dillweed
- 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 1 1/2 pound fresh or frozen cod fillets, thawed if frozen
What to Do
- Preheat the grill to medium-high heat. Coat a grill basket with nonstick cooking spray.
- In a small bowl, combine all the ingredients, except the cod; mix well. Rinse the fish with cold water and pat dry with a paper towel.
- Cover the fish with the mixture, rubbing all of it onto the fish. Grill the fish in the grill basket for 9 to 11 minutes, depending on the thickness, until the fish flakes easily with a fork, turning occasionally.
Notes
This works well with whiting or haddock, too.
