Here's a Very Fancy Fish that's fast yet company special. Try it out and see how the flavorful seasonings dress up sole, haddock or cod and make them a stand-out.
What You'll Need
- 4 to 6 medium-sized fish fillets (sole, haddock, or cod)
- 1 cup mild barbecue sauce
- 1 cup canned crushed tomatoes
- 1/3 cup finely minced onion
- 1 teaspoon hot pepper sauce
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
- 2 tablespoons dry red wine
What to Do
- Fry, broil, or bake fish fillets until done; set aside.
- Place remaining ingredients in a saucepan and mix well; bring to a boil over medium-high heat. Reduce heat and simmer for 2 to 3 minutes more to blend the flavors. Place sauce on a platter and arrange cooked fish on top of it. Serve warm.
