What You'll Need
- 1 (12-ounce) package semisweet chocolate chips
- 3/4 cup peanut butter
- 1 cup heavy cream, whipped into stiff peaks
- 2 ripe bananas, cut into 1/2-inch slices
What to Do
- Coat an 8- x 4-inch loaf pan with cooking spray. Line with wax paper, leaving overhang on long sides.
- In a large microwaveable bowl, heat chocolate 1 to 2 minutes, or until melted, stirring occasionally. Let cool 5 minutes. Stir in peanut butter, then gently fold in whipped cream. Add banana slices and gently stir until well mixed. Pour into prepared pan and fold wax paper over top.
- Freeze 4 to 6 hours, or until firm. Remove loaf from pan, discard wax paper, and place on platter. Slice and serve, or freeze until ready to serve.

Is heavy cream somewhat sweet? Not crazy about semisweet chocolate chips. Would milk chocolate chips put it over the top sweet? It really looks good. But I never use heavy cream recipes. It is so expensive and fattening I understand.

Heavy cream is not sweetened. The other ingredients will sweeten the recipe. If your personal preference is milk chocolate, then try that instead. And just remember...everything in moderation! Enjoy!

Since I am diabetic, I hope to make this with sugar free ingredients. Should be a good dessert alternative!

Can I freeze this indefinitely? Say a month or so?

Yes, you can freeze this for a month. Just make sure it is wrapped securely so it does not get freezer burn. Also, we recommend in the Notes section to garnish this with whipped cream and banana slices. We would not suggest garnishing before freezing. You can add the extra whipped cream, banana slices and chopped walnuts when you are ready to serve. Enjoy!

We don't like peanut butter - what can we use instead?

Biscoff spread, crunchy or creamy. You won't find this at Walmart! Better grocery store like Publx.

I haven't made it yet, but my mouth watered just looking at the picture. (Think I have a problem?)
