Hi there! If you would like to make this recipe in a glass pan, adjust the oven temperature to 325 degrees F. Be sure to check the recipe five minutes before your timer is up to ensure that it is baking/baked properly. Additionally, we recommend lightly spraying your glass dish with a non-stick baking spray. Enjoy!

I am rating this recipe without making it and the reason why is a bit odd Back in the s my grandmother copied this recipe down while listening to the daily cooking show on her favorite radio station She loved Heath candy bars but they were difficult for her to enjoy with her dentures She listened to Joyce the program host give this recipe and thought she might be able to enjoy Heath candy bars once again There are two differences between this recipe the old one When Gran copied it down pudding in the mix was not common so it just said yellow cake mix And there were no bagged brickle bit available so she had to crush enough Heath candy bars to make cups These became a lunch time favorite with my grandfather and there was massive pouting to happen if my sisters I were at their home brickle…Read More bars were off limits because they were Grand's lunch box Everyone in the family has a copy of that original recipe in gran's handwriting Forty-plus years later it is still a lunch time favorite

Did you leave them in for longer than 25 min? I just made them and they seem a little too gooey. Is there some way to test for doneness?

Hello! You can try cooking your Brickle Bars for 5-8 minutes longer, or until center is formed (by testing with a toothpick). Enjoy!
