- COOK TIME
- 15 Min
This quick and easy chicken dish tastes so special, it's fit for some of your most important guests. With its light lemon and butter flavor, President's Chicken will surely earn you mealtime raves.
What You'll Need
- 1/4 cup (1/2 stick) butter or margarine
- 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
- 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breast halves
What to Do
- Preheat oven to broil. In a large skillet, mix together sauce ingredients; cook over low heat until butter has melted.
- Place chicken breasts in a shallow baking dish; pour sauce over the chicken. Broil for 8 to 10 minutes per side or until no longer pink in center, turning chicken occasionally to coat well with the sauce.
Notes
- Serve over rice or noodles and drizzle with the pan drippings for a delicious flavor boost. You can use chicken breasts with the bone-in and even leave the skin on; but remember to cook them a little longer.
- For an alternate cooking method, you can bake the chicken for 15 minutes and broil for the last 5 minutes.

Gotta tell you, this recipe looks fantastic but with that name-- wouldn't have it in my collection- maybe it had another name before Do-Do got elected?

Great reviews. Guess it's ok to use chicken thighs too? But I would bake them in what temp 350? That's the temp I usually use for thighs.

Hi there! You can bake the chicken thighs at 350 degrees F. Depending on the size of thighs you want to bake 45 to 50 minutes, or until no longer pink in center. Enjoy!

President's Chicken Dinner is delicious! Yum! I serve it every year on President's Day. I don't know if President Trump has it for dinner or not, if he dose he has good taste in food! Yum!

This dish sounds terrific, but how far (away) from the 'Broil Element' (in the oven) should we place the chicken - without burning it? I'll just 'temp' it.... I love the sauce, and I plan to use it for other applications.

Hi, thanks for your question. We have changed the broil time to 8-10 minutes per side or until no longer pink in center. You should broil at least 4 to 6 inches from element. You could also bake for 15 minutes and then broil for the last 5 minutes. Hope we've answered your question!

This is one of my go-to recipes - never disappoints! I broil only 8 minutes per side, then cover the chicken with foil and bake in a 300 degree oven for 20 -25 minutes while preparing the rest of the meal.
