Finally - a healthy recipe! Although, I took the honey out and put maple syrup in instead. I want to see more fruit and veggie only ideas! Ate it with some homemade granola bars.

YES use them frozen in smoothies. Doesn't matter if you're using strawberries or a different fruit. The more frozen fruit you use the less ice you'll need. Start with a little of the ice and add until you get the consistency you like. Recipes can be adjusted to suit dietary needs and taste. Experiment and have fun!! If you're going to give a review to a recipe AFTER trying it, you should follow the recipe as it reads. Hope this helps...

if you use frozen strawberries do you thaw them first or use them while they are still frozen and would you use less than 1 1/2 cups of ice cubes?

You can use frozen strawberries and cut the amount of ice cubes used in half. Enjoy!
