Versatile recipe with good flavor. Instead of cookies, I prepared mine more like a snack cake in a 9X13 glass baking dish. Increased bake time to 25 minutes. Also, I had a partial bag of caramel chips so I added those along with the chocolate chips. Very tasty. Sweet enough and does not need an icing like some cakes. Oh, and I didn't have quite enough banana so I added a tablespoon of vegetable oil.

I just made tried this recipe a few days ago DELICIOUS. My family ate this in less than two days. My plan was to bake this up in my 8 inch square pan to make bars, but noticed there was a lot of batter so I decided to put it all in my bread loaf pan and it turned out great ! I finally found a banana recipe that really works for me, I've tried so many others and this one is a keeper, a must try! ) I also left out the nuts and chocolate chips, but next time I think I will add them. Thanks for another great recipe.

I'm confused with the baking soda and baking powder comments. Which is better for this recipe?

If I make this into 1 BIG cookie (like in a cake pan), how long would I bake it?

Hi there Gayle! If you're using a pizza pan you need to bake it for about 12-15 minutes at 350 degrees. If you're using a 9-inch cake pan, bake it for about 20-25 minutes or until toothpick in center comes out dry. Enjoy!

I have a banana bread recipe that only uses baking soda and it is a GREAT recipe. So I'm not surprised by this.

I wonder if it's supposed to be baking powder instead of soda. Usually baking soda is used with recipes with buttermilk.

Made them today, not enough chocolate chips, so I made up the difference with peanut butter chips, they baked wonderfully, and quite tasty. Will make again.

First batch was a little flat, made them plan as my dad does not like chocolate and nuts. Added a little more flour, the chocolate chips and nuts and they tasted pretty good.

Mine didnt come out as nice looking as the ones pictured. They were very pale and how I put them on the pan is basically how they came out. They didn't round out at all. I won't be making these again.

Mine are in the oven right now but believe they will be flat also. I a going to refrigerate the cookie dough before finishing batch. I think that will help by getting the butter cold.

Mr. Food; Have you heard of Fried Bananas? Here is a recipe given to me: Take some Bisquick, add 1 egg(beaten) and some carbonated water - stir well until all the lumps are gone. Cut bananas 1/4 inch thick. In a small fry pan heat some oil and fry battered bananas until golden brown. For a dip sauce; seep 1 green tea bag in 1/2 cup of hot water. Use 4 TBSP. coconut cream (canned) Mix into right consistency. sooo good!
