I have never tried a vanilla crumb pie. I think it looks pretty good and I like all the ingredients it uses. But, I doubt I will ever get around to making this, since I'm not sure if my family would like. I think I will forward this to my mom because she loves to cook and bake and she really loves making these kinds of desserts.

My husband loves vanilla, so this was a no-brainer. The pie is very easy to make and the flavor is nice and light. We found that it was too runny to enjoy warm the first time (it set up in the fridge), so this time, I added only 3/4 c. water. I also added a little extra molasses to both the filling and the crumbs, plus some vanilla extract to the crumbs. (I also added a splash of bourbon after the filling was done cooking this time...is it still Amish?) I think we'll keep tweaking the details, but this is a great recipe.

This is not a fruit pie, it is a vanilla crumb pie. However, if you would like apple pie, simply type "apple pie" in the search field and then click "search." Thank you for your question!

Did you read it wrong and thought it said "Apple Vanilla Crumb Pie"?
