Our chocolate chips did not melt at all giving an all over chocolate look. They sunk to the bottom but still tasted great and looked/tasted like a candy bar.

Looks really yummy. About the woman exercising reminds me of my favorite magazine. Woman's World. On the cover it tells you how to lose thirty pounds in two weeks and the bottom of the cover it gives you yummy, fattening pictures of goodies. Go figure. One to lose the weight and the other to put it back on.

Made this pie last night and it was great! The pie filling was getting overly brown before the pie crust bottom, but with a little temperature/time adjustment this recipe is a keeper!

Followed recipe. Cooked for an hour. Looked done but was liquid. What did I do wrong?...

Hello - Unfortunately, it's hard to say what could've gone wrong if the recipe was followed exactly as written. One possibility is that your oven may not be calibrated correctly, and is not heating enough.

I cannot believe that I need to turn off adblock to watch your video of the day, along with a grotesque over weight woman excercising. Please you have gone to far. Shame on you and this is from a person who knew Mr. Food!

There was discussion awhile ago that we would be able to pay for an ad-free account to this website. Would gladly do that and am sure others would as well. I do that with many of my apps. I agree with you that it is very annoying but they need to make money to afford to run this site, I'm sure.

Yes, Member 5208736, but the obese whale "exercising" is such a turnoff, a lot of cooks will be repulsed just by seeing that at the edge of their recipe. At least the Mr. Food team could be a little more selective with their ads!

What a rude, uncalled for, repulsive comment about another human being. You don't have to like the ad but you also don't have to be ugly with your comments.

Never judge. We can't know what the person's problem might have caused the weight gain. Remember, Steve. WHat goes around comes around.

Why would someone look at another human being and call them grotesque just by their appearance I actually watched a video of a young man making a derby pie this morning and gave him a like even though I didn't make the recipe BECAUSE of his appearance I thought I bet no one has liked this because of his appearance Sure enough Not one like or comment Some young kid who happens to like to bake who had a deformity who was really trying really nervous and he had no likes and no comments Just like the 'grotesque' as you call it person working out was really trying And people like you is why I refuse to go to a gym I can workout at home and no comments or looks from anyone br Remember Mrchips you get what you give good or bad I'd rather face judgement day knowing I'd…Read More spread more good than bad

To make this closer to a real Derby Pie, it needs 2 or 3 Tbsp of good bourbon added in step 2.

This pie was just perfect. I actually enjoyed it after it had been refrigerated, and honestly, I think it tastes better that way - I prefer my desserts cold rather than warm. It tastes like a chunky, chocolatey cookie. I'll definitely be making this again!

This pie was so amazing it was hard to stop at just one piece! Everyone else loved it as well. Because it is so easy, this will be a recipe I will make again and again.
