You can never go wrong with serving up slices of this easy chocolate pie. That's cause our Always-Good Chocolate Pie is, well, always good! It's just a basic chocolate pie recipe that's good eaten as-is or topped with nuts, chocolate syrup, or anything else you might be craving!

    What You'll Need

    • 3 cups milk, divided
    • 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
    • 1/3 cup cornstarch
    • 1/4 teaspoon salt
    • 1 cup sugar
    • 2 tablespoons butter
    • 1 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
    • 1 prebaked pie crust
    • Whipped topping for serving

    What to Do

    1. In a medium saucepan on medium heat, heat 2-1/2 cups milk.
    2. Meanwhile, in a medium bowl, combine cocoa powder, cornstarch, salt, and sugar. Add remaining milk; stir until no lumps remain. Pour into heated milk; stirring constantly. When mixture has thickened and begins to bubble, stir constantly for 1 more minute. Remove from heat.
    3. Add butter and vanilla; stir to combine. Pour into pie crust. Refrigerate at least 3 hours, or until set. Dollop with whipped topping and serve.
