Chocolate on Chocolate Pie

Whether you prefer to make your own pie shell or buy a prepared one, you'll love our Chocolate on Chocolate Pie. If its name doesn't entice you enough, just wait 'til you see how easy it is to prepare!
What You'll Need
- 1 cup sugar
- 8 tablespoons (1 stick) unsalted butter or margarine, melted
- 1/4 cup cornstarch
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 package (6 ounces) semisweet chocolate chips
- 1 cup chopped pecans
- 1 unbaked 9-inch chocolate pie shell
What to Do
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Combine sugar, butter, cornstarch, eggs and vanilla extract in a large bowl; mix well. Stir in chocolate chips and pecans.
- Pour mixture into pie shell. Bake until the filling begins to pull away from sides of crust, about 40 minutes. Cool completely on rack.
- Serve with a dollop of whipped cream or whipped topping and a drizzle of chocolate syrup if desired.
Notes
Use your own homemade pie shell or buy one already prepared, whatever you prefer.
