We love this recipe. We have made it several times using Marsala cooking wine and also Marsala wine. Either is great. I have found that it is easier for me to brown the roast, put it in the convection oven and start making the onions and mushrooms, then transfer the roast to the pan with the veggies for finishing. We also make extra Marsala sauce and keep it for the next for our hamburgers. It has become our go-to meal for company.

This was so good, we really loved it. Would make it again. Now my daughter wants to make it. Maybe next time I'll try cube steak, that should be good too.

Very very good, but agree that cooking time is off. Cooked mine covered for 30 minutes. Also increased wine to 3/4 cup. Great recipe, Thanks!!!!

Bellerophon . . . thank you for your very helpful and pleasant comment!! Because you apparently just don't know, there are those who do not use alcoholic beverages so this particular cook wants an alternative which happens to be beef broth! And because you are NOT invited to partake of the dish when she is serving her fine dinner to her family, not using wine is not a problem, right!!!!! That's what I thought

This is a real winner. The flavors were delicious and the process simple, though I had to extend the cooking time. Leftovers made delicious sandwiches the next day!

Did not change or add a thing. Wonderful recipe, but time is WAY wrong. A piece of meat that is one pound is not going to be done in 36 minutes! Cooked after browning for about 45 minutes, covered (tilted cover slightly. Also, added about a teaspoon more olive oil when added onions & mushrooms. Only complaint - not enough sauce! Next time will add more oil & wine to increase sauce, Absolutely wonderful. Meat was very tender. Served over cooked spaghetti.

My husband & I were impressed with this recipe. I've eaten Chicken Marsala at restaurants before so I purchased the Marsala wine even though I don't always like the flavor of alcohol in my food. I questioned if the pot would need to be covered for the tenderloin to be cooked through. Therefore, during the last 8 minutes, I covered the pot for 4 minutes, and uncovered the pot for the last 4 minutes. The end result was a slightly thickened sauce that was delicious served over the meat exactly as pictured. WOW...it was GOOD!!!

What can I use instead of the wine?

Why bother to make it? It's the wine that makes it Pork Tenderloin Marsala. Why not look up some other pork tenderloin recipe that uses what you like?

You could use chicken or beef stock in lieu of marsala..won't taste quite the same but it'll still make a sauce....

Hi ReneeV, I am looking at the page now and the "SAVE TO RECIPE BOX" button is on the page. Perhaps it was a slight glitch at the time you were looking. Thank you for your comments!

Renee...Maybe you re having a problem that I used to have with "save to mt recipe box"? Some times theses recipes are repeated after various periods of time and when I o to save the recipe there is no "save". Eventually I noticed it said "REMOVE FROM RECIPE BOX" and then i realized that I had already saved it in the past. At first I 'cursed' my bad memory and then laughed and have been trying my best

....me again....to continue...I now try to look for 'save or remove' before getting frustrated. This is not to criticize but make you know that you are not alone. We're all friends here...or at least we should be. No one should be criticizing or correcting or 'shaming' in any way.

Please be patient with me. I just want to add that I'm sorry for all the spelling errors and it's not that I'm a bad speller but I didn't have time to spell-check before my first comments were posted by my computer doing weird things before I 'tell' it to. Also I have 2 keys that stick sometimes. Over and out.
